Swiatek on the Australian Open: "It would be a dream come true"
After her victory at Wimbledon last July, only the Australian Open is now missing from Iga Swiatek's list of achievements to complete a career Grand Slam.
But the Polish player prefers to stay focused and not dwell on that, although she does not hide her desire to win the missing Grand Slam.
She stated: "I don't set such goals for myself. Of course, it's something I dream about and want to achieve one day, but I'm not going to come to Melbourne and think about it every day.
"Step by step"
I know I have to win seven matches, and Grand Slam tournaments last two weeks, so anything can happen. So I will go step by step. The most important thing is to focus well on my pre-season preparation, and then we'll see. But it would truly be a dream come true."
