Swiatek: "The level of play has homogenized"
In remarks reported by Clay Tennis, Iga Swiatek commented on the current level in the WTA. For her, everyone is currently playing very well.
She explained: "The level of play has significantly homogenized. This was particularly evident during the WTA Finals; any one of us could have won the tournament. We played many intense matches.
"Tennis is evolving"
Some players prefer certain conditions, others feel better at certain times of the season... but overall, I think we are all progressing very quickly.
If I had served at 185 km/h three years ago, it would have changed everything, it would have been incredible. But now that I actually serve like that, other players serve at 195 km/h. Of course, it's not just speed that matters. It's just an example, but I think tennis is evolving and we are all playing at a very good level right now."
