Talented players are a bit more confused," Bertolucci analyzes Musetti's performance against Alcaraz
After a very solid start to the match, winning the first set against Alcaraz in the Roland-Garros semifinals, Musetti gradually lost his rhythm as the match progressed until he retired in the fourth set due to a thigh injury.
Asked by Sky Sport, former player Paolo Bertolucci reflected on his compatriot's performance:
"Talented players are a bit more confused; they need more time to put their game together. There was never any doubt about Musetti's qualities, talent, arm, or physical condition, but there was some uncertainty related to his temperament.
Now, he is more structured, but he still has significant room for improvement in that regard. If he can take that extra step, then he will be on equal footing with the top-ranked players.
