Any other player would have lied," Sinner's coach reveals advice given by Djokovic

Sinner once again made a strong impression by dominating Grand Slam record-holder Djokovic. Having reached the final without dropping a set, the world number one had conceded only 9 break points before his showdown with the Serb.
Asked after the match, the Italian's coach, Darren Cahill, explained that the 38-year-old legend had given them valuable advice during their clash at Wimbledon in 2022.
"Novak is one of the guys I approached and directly asked after our five-set loss at Wimbledon. Most top players would have lied, saying, 'Yes, he's a great player, he's going to be good. He does everything well. He just needs to keep working hard, etc.'
But that’s not Novak. He actually broke down our game for us, telling us he needed more variety, to improve his serve, to come to the net a bit more often—and he really helped us. Not that we didn’t know where the improvements would come from, but hearing it from Novak’s mouth gave Jannik a real perspective on what he needed to work on. So he helped us a lot three years ago in making sure we implemented those changes to his game.
