Team World wins the Laver Cup for the third time in its history

Despite a comeback from Team Europe this Sunday at the Laver Cup, Team World bounced back during the evening matches to secure the points needed for the final victory.
Alex de Minaur kicked off the singles matches this Sunday against Jakub Mensik. The Australian won 6-3, 6-4 without conceding any breaks.
The second match pitted Carlos Alcaraz against Francisco Cerundolo. Defeated the day before by Taylor Fritz, the Spaniard was eager to redeem himself. Mission accomplished for him, as he crushed the Argentine with a score of 6-2, 6-1 in just 1 hour and 13 minutes of play.
Facing Alexander Zverev, Fritz had the opportunity to seal the outcome of the encounter between Team Europe and Team World. After his impressive victory against Alcaraz, the American was determined to continue his good form.
He succeeded, by defeating the German 6-3, 7-6, a victory that clinched the title for his team, Team World. It is the third time that his team has won the trophy in eight editions.
