Despite his doubles victories alongside Casper Ruud against Alex Michelsen and Reilly Opelka and then against Francisco Cerundolo in singles, Carlos Alcaraz could not prevent his team, Team Europe, from losing to Team World in the Laver Cup.

In a press conference, the Spaniard spoke specifically about his defeat against Taylor Fritz this Saturday. He stated: "Saturday night was difficult. The defeat against Taylor was tough for me, but I knew I had another chance today.

I think I played excellent tennis, in doubles as well as in singles. I love this competition because it allows me to spend time with my opponents, get to know them better, and learn from them. There was a great energy this week.
