"Tennis is more important than any player," Nadal's reaction to the Alcaraz-Sinner final

If the Roland-Garros fortnight began in spectacular fashion with an emotional tribute to Nadal, it ended in apotheosis when Alcaraz and Sinner delivered one of the longest and most sensational finals in tennis history.
Asked during a charity golf tournament at home in Mallorca, the Roland-Garros legend shared his thoughts on this epic battle between the two new faces of the tour:
"Tennis is more important than any player. There will always be champions, and everyone will show the way. New stars will emerge, and here they are. There are two players well above the rest—they’ve proven to be great champions, and they will make their mark. That’s the reality; tennis is in good hands."
The 22-time Grand Slam champion also responded to Alcaraz’s statement about drawing inspiration from him when trailing in the match:
"If he already has the ability to think of me at that moment, he’s incredible. I’m very happy for him." Comments reported by Tennis World Italia.
