The amount of Medvedev's fine is known
The sanction has been handed down for Daniil Medvedev. Following his outburst against Benjamin Bonzi in the first round of the US Open, Jake Garner, the tournament referee, decided to impose a fine of $42,500 on him.
It is divided into two parts: $30,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct and $12,500 for racket abuse.
With his elimination in the first round, Medvedev pocketed $110,000, so he will lose just under 40% of his prize money with this fine.
