Medvedev's outburst against Benjamin Bonzi at the US Open has certainly made waves in the tennis world. Among those reacting, Andy Roddick was quick to defend the Russian.
In comments shared by Tennis365, he states: "He loses his cool, but if I criticized him, I'd be a hypocrite.
I remember in 2019, he had several meltdowns. Everyone hated him at the start of the tournament. By the end, I think everyone appreciated him.
That's just Medvedev being Medvedev. When he does that, I don't change the channel, I find it entertaining.
In what other sport is it unsportsmanlike to break your own equipment? It's his racket, he can break it if he wants.
