The Australian wildcards for Roland-Garros are known

Roland-Garros is fast approaching, and wildcard announcements are coming one after another. After the American federation, it's now the Australian federation's turn to reveal the male and female players who will receive invitations to the Parisian Grand Slam.
On the women's side, it's Destanee Aiava, ranked 157th in the world, who managed to qualify for the Australian Open and advance past the first round against Greet Minnen before falling to Danielle Collins in three sets.
She shared how she learned about her wildcard: "I'm so happy, honestly. I wasn’t expecting it at all.
I had just lost my match last week—it was a really tight one. I was lying there, wallowing in my sadness, and then I got a call from Samantha Stosur, and I was crying.
I was wondering why she was calling. When she told me I got the wildcard, I had to look around to make sure it was real."
On the men's side, Tristan Schoolkate, ranked 129th in the world, will have the chance to make his main-draw debut at Roland-Garros.
It's worth noting that neither of these players has competed on clay yet this 2025 season, preferring hard courts.
