The best decision of her life," Macci effusive about Gauff's coaching change

Coco Gauff made a major change to her team yesterday by parting ways with Matt Daly and Jean-Christophe Faurel and hiring Gavin MacMillan, a biomechanics expert.
This move is expected to help the world No. 3 correct her serve so that she commits fewer double faults in her matches. For Rick Macci, former coach of the Williams sisters and still very active on social media, this hiring could be a turning point in the young American's career:
"Coco just made the best decision of her life. By hiring Gavin MacMillan, this problem can be fixed very quickly and allow her to serve effectively. What she will hear will be 100% different from what she has heard in the past. […]
I've seen the biomechanical adjustments he made to Sabalenka's serve—he rethought everything from start to finish. A biomechanics expert knows the true cause of the problem, not just the symptoms that others describe and observe.
Gavin will fix Coco's serve in a matter of days. She still needs training and match experience, but we're going to see a radical change in the double fault department. From my perspective, Coco goes from a possible contender to win the US Open to a real threat to take the title.
The one stroke you can practice on your own to no end and are in complete control of during play. 🤣
