The Cincinnati tournament unveils its list of participants for the women's and men's draws
While Wimbledon is in full swing with the conclusion of the men's quarterfinals, the Cincinnati tournament has revealed its list of registered players for both draws.
As a reminder, the event will take place over a total of fourteen days (including qualifying rounds), from August 5 to 18.
On the men's side, the entire top 10 is currently announced, with Jannik Sinner as the defending champion. Grigor Dimitrov, who suffered a pectoral injury at Wimbledon, is on the list but will likely be one of the first players to withdraw.
Nick Kyrgios, who hasn’t played since the Miami Masters 1000 in March, will use his protected ranking (21st). Jenson Brooksby and Sebastian Ofner will do the same. Roman Safiullin, ranked 74th in the world, is currently the last player to enter the main draw directly.
On the women's side, the entire top 10 is also present, and six players will use their protected rankings: Petra Kvitova, Marketa Vondrousova, Sorana Cirstea, Lin Zhu, Bianca Andreescu, and Anastasija Sevastova.
Loïs Boisson, France's top-ranked player, will make her debut in the American tournament as the second-to-last player to enter the main draw. Last year, Aryna Sabalenka won the title by defeating Jessica Pegula in the final.
