The courts are slower and rougher, Cahill, Sinner's coach, reveals playing conditions in Cincinnati

The Cincinnati tournament will kick off on Thursday with the return of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in the men's draw, and Aryna Sabalenka in the women's draw.

Sinner, in fact, was one of the first top players to train on the center court, having played a practice set on Monday with Jaume Munar.

On-site to observe the players' preparations, the media outlet Christian’s Court was able to quickly interview Darren Cahill, the world No. 1's coach, about the surface and conditions. The Australian coach stated that the courts "are slower and rougher" than last year, even though the ball bounce remains low.

For reference, Cincinnati was the second-fastest Masters 1000 last season after Paris-Bercy.
