The day after his crack-up in Paris, Rublev announced for the Metz tournament!

The day after his crack-up in Paris, Rublev announced for the Metz tournament!

Andrey Rublev, who has yet to confirm his place at the Turin Masters, will be one of the headliners at the ATP 250 Metz next week.

The tournament account made the world No. 7's participation official today. The Russian, who was eliminated yesterday in Paris against Francisco Cerundolo, signed up at the last minute to try and pick up as many points as possible with a view to the Masters.

It was an unexpected decision, especially after his outburst in the middle of yesterday's match, when Rublev repeatedly slammed his racket against his knee and, once again this season, showed signs of excessive anger.

He joins Casper Ruud, Holger Rune and Ugo Humbert among the top-ranked players lining up in Metz.
