The duo Arneodo-Guinard wins the title and makes history at the Monte-Carlo tournament
By defeating the pair Cash-Glasspool (1-6, 7-6, 10-8), Romain Arneodo and Manuel Guinard made history at the Monte-Carlo tournament. For the first time, a doubles team featuring a Monegasque player claimed the title.
Naturalized in 2013, Romain Arneodo became the first local player, in both singles and doubles, to win the trophy in the Principality. His previous best performance was a doubles quarterfinal with Benjamin Balleret.
The Franco-Monegasque pair, who received a wild-card, notably defeated Bopanna and Shelton in the quarterfinals.
