The returning Bencic invited to Angers, two Frenchwomen also present
Belinda Bencic's return to the top level continues. The Swiss, who gave birth to her first child in April, has been making a comeback in recent weeks.
She represented her country at the Billie Jean King Cup 2024 against Serbia, winning her singles match against Lola Radivojevic (6-2, 6-2).
In order to get back into the competitive swing of things for next year, the former world number 4 has received a wild-card to take part in the Angers tournament.
The 2024 edition will be held from December 2 to 8. At the age of 27, she has fallen back to world number 910.

Burel and Paquet to take part in Angers tournament
Clara Burel and Chloé Paquet are also expected to take part in the event in Maine-et-Loire. The two Frenchwomen will be aiming to pick up a few points before taking a break for several weeks.
Last year, Burel and Paquet met in the final of the same tournament, and it was the former who triumphed after a fine battle (3-6, 6-4, 6-2).
