The schedule for Friday, March 7 at Indian Wells

This Friday, the serious action will intensify at Indian Wells with the start of the second round, marked by the entry of the seeded players in both singles draws.

On the main court, world number 2 and top seed Alexander Zverev will kick off the day with a tricky match against Tallon Griekspoor, who reached the semifinals in Dubai last week.

After the resumption of the interrupted match between Alycia Parks and Anna Kalinskaya, which was supposed to conclude yesterday, defending champion Iga Swiatek will make her debut against Caroline Garcia.

On the same court, Jessica Pegula (against Magda Linette), Daniil Medvedev (facing Bu Yunchaokete), and Zheng Qinwen (versus Victoria Azarenka) will close out the schedule.

On the other courts, Elena Rybakina, the California champion from two years ago, will face Suzan Lamens, opening the program on Stadium 2, before the matches Ruud-Giron and Tsitsipas-Seyboth Wild follow on the same court.

The second Frenchwoman in the second round, Varvara Gracheva, will face a tough test against Mirra Andreeva, who recently triumphed in Dubai.

In the French camp, Corentin Moutet (against Holger Rune), Arthur Fils (making his debut against Gabriel Diallo), Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (facing Fabian Marozsan), and Ugo Humbert (who will have a challenging match against Kei Nishikori) will all be in action.

Meanwhile, Quentin Halys will conclude his first-round match against Pablo Carreño-Busta, where the Frenchman led 6-3, 4-1 before the interruption. Find the full schedule for the day below.
