The Swiatek-Gauff Clash, Ruud vs. Medvedev: Madrid Organization Unveils Thursday's Schedule
The Madrid organization has unveiled the schedule for Thursday, May 1.
The day will begin with a clash on the center court (Manolo Santana Stadium) between Ruud and Medvedev starting at 1 PM. Undefeated against the Norwegian, the Russian will face the double Roland-Garros finalist for the first time on clay. Swiatek will then be up against Gauff for a spot in the final. They played each other at the United Cup last January where the American secured the victory.
Spectators will then have to wait until 8 PM to attend the night session. First, the winner of the match between De Minaur and Musetti will face the victor of Dimitrov against Diallo. To conclude the day, Sabalenka or Kostyuk will play for a place in the final against Uchijima or Svitolina.
On other courts, Cerundolo will face Mensik on the Arantxa Sanchez Stadium, followed by the quarter-final between Arnaldi and the winner of Draper-Paul.
