The XXL program for the WTA 1000 Dubai on Tuesday, February 18
Monday sees the continuation and conclusion of the first round of the WTA 1000 Dubai tournament.
There have already been a number of upsets, with Daria Kasatkina, Jelena Ostapenko and Amanda Anisimova, who has just won her first title in Doha, all eliminated on their debut.
This Tuesday, the pace intensifies with the second round in the United Arab Emirates.
Unlike last week in Qatar, where fourteen round-of-16 matches took place on the same day, the entire second round will be played on February 18.
The world's best players will be on court, including Aryna Sabalenka, who will face Veronika Kudermetova, who defeated Alexandrova.
Iga Swiatek will face Victoria Azarenka, while defending champion Jasmine Paolini will take on qualifier Eva Lys.
Coco Gauff, who lost her opener in Qatar, is back in action with a match against her compatriot McCartney Kessler, who defeated Anisimova.
As for the rest of the program, there are some great matches to look forward to, including Samsonova-Pegula, Raducanu-Muchova, Bencic-Navarro and Shnaider-Noskova.
