They had everything booked... but he was going to decide at the last minute": Musetti's coach's confidences on Djokovic's withdrawal from the Masters
Last week, Novak Djokovic won the 101st title of his career in Athens by beating Lorenzo Musetti in a three-hour long final (4-6, 6-3, 7-5).
Shortly after this triumph, the Serb announced his withdrawal from the ATP Finals, allowing Musetti to obtain the last ticket for Turin.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian's coach admitted that Djokovic perfectly maintained the mystery:
"No one knew. We tried to find out more throughout the week. We joked with his team, who kept saying that only Nole would decide, and that he would do it at the last minute.
They had already booked everything for Turin, from plane tickets to hotel rooms. No one knew anything, there was no clue.
