Once again, the behavior of French fans has sparked controversy at Roland-Garros. The latest incident occurred during the match between Quentin Halys and Miomir Kecmanovic.
According to the Serbian player, the spectators on Court 14 were extremely hostile toward him: "It's terrible to play in such an environment. I’m convinced he (Halys) wouldn’t have beaten me anywhere else.
On smaller courts, everyone is packed in, and the noise is deafening. They threw objects at me, spat on me, and I got into arguments with people.
I understand they’re supporting their player, but this behavior is simply disrespectful.
Here's an idea, if the French Open organization doesn't resolve the problem, maybe tennis can ditch it in favor for another country to host the clay court major tournament.
