Thiem to play final tournament in 2024
Dominic Thiem has decided to retire at the end of 2024, due to a wrist injury from which he has never recovered. He played his last official match at the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna.
However, he will play one last tournament, at the Caen Open, an exhibition from December 8 to 11. He will face another almost-retired player, Richard Gasquet.
This will be his first appearance at this tournament, and an opportunity to bid farewell to the French public. Other headliners at this exhibition are Ugo Humbert and Cameron Norrie.
