Ben Shelton is the champion of the 2025 Toronto Masters 1000. In the post-match press conference, he reflected on his tournament.

He stated: "Yes, I’m really happy. I’m very grateful to have had this opportunity.

I feel like this week has been perfect for me. There were a lot of tight matches, long matches, and I played some of my best tennis of the year.

And to finish the week the way I did, especially with the opponent I had today and the way he was playing, I couldn’t be happier.

I hit a lot of balls hard throughout the match. On returns, I was just trying to be very aggressive with my footwork, find forehands, and stay neutral before moving to attack.

In the final tie-break, I tried to shift the momentum quickly in my favor because I had already lost one tie-break in the match, and he had played it much better than I did.
