Those who accuse him of having an uninteresting playing style have probably never held a racket," Trevisan responds to critics of Sinner
Jannik Sinner is the undisputed world No. 1, with over 12,000 points and victories at the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year.
Also a finalist at the French Open, the Italian narrowly missed victory in Paris as he had three match points on Carlos Alcaraz's serve. However, the dominance imposed by Sinner is not to everyone's taste, much like his playing style.
Martina Trevisan, former world No. 20 and French Open semifinalist, explained to FanPage why the criticisms of the world No. 1 are unjustified:
"He's an extraordinary guy. You can't help but cheer for him for the clean and precise tennis he plays every time. Those accusing him of having an uninteresting playing style have probably never held a racket. Watching Jannik play is a joy to behold.
I'm not just saying this as a fan, but also as a professional. I know that some of his down-the-line backhands are a slap in the face to the laws of physics.
