Tiafoe's heroics take him through to the last 16!

We'd been looking forward to this match-up, and to say the least, we weren't disappointed.

In a remake of the quarter-final at the last US Open, it was Frances Tiafoe who emerged victorious from his fratricidal duel with Ben Shelton (4-6, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3).

Beaten by his compatriot last year, Tiafoe didn't fall into the trap this time, putting in a full match and finally toppling his 21-year-old opponent in just over 4 hours of combat.

More aggressive than ever, the man who has just returned to the Top 20 capitalized on his new-found confidence in Cincinnati to get back to the second week of a Major.

Giving very little away, chaining winning shots together and being insanely realistic on important points (45 winners, 27 unforced errors, 17 break points saved), the gifted 26-year-old will face the winner of the duel between Popyrin and Djokovic in the last 16 this Sunday.
