Learner Tien is currently playing in the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah.

With one win and one loss, he is in contention this Friday for a qualifier against Arthur Fils. The winner of this match will qualify for the semi-finals.

He spoke to Corriere dello Sport about his progress and ambitions. He says: "My ranking has improved rapidly, but I feel I still have a lot of room for improvement.

That means my potential is very high, and that gives me great confidence.

I know there will come a time when the climb will slow down and things will level out for a while.

I'm never discouraged by a wall and I can't wait to take on the best, including Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, that's my goal.

For me, this tournament (the Next Gen ATP Finals), more than the end of 2024, marks the beginning of 2025.

I've done the preparation in California and then I'll go straight to Hong Kong, without coming back home."

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
