Tomic: "When I was in the elite, it was the strongest Top 10 or 15 in history"

The media Punto de break interviewed Bernard Tomic during his participation in the Kigali 2 Challenger.
The Australian reflected on his career, as he aims to compete in Grand Slam qualifiers this year.
"Right now, I enjoy living in the moment, I enjoy playing tennis.
It's clear that when I reached the top 15, I was at my best level, but now everything is a bit more complicated because all the players are very good.
Anyone in the top 500 or top 600 has the potential to be in the top 100. The level is very high. There's a small chance to play well and return to the top 100.
I will try, I'll see how it goes in the next two years, and then we'll see.
When I was in the elite, the Top 10 and Top 20 were the strongest: there was Federer, Rafa, Novak, Murray. There were also names like Berdych or del Potro.
It was the strongest Top 10 or Top 15 in history, it was insane. No one could reach the quarterfinals or semifinals of a Grand Slam.
If another player managed to reach the semifinals, we thought, 'Wow, who is this?' Those four or five names always came back.
Everything has changed a lot, but ten years ago, players ranked 600 or 700 didn't beat top 100 players.
Now, every week, we see elite players losing in Challengers to players ranked 600 or 700.
Everyone is great. Generations change, everyone improves. The depth is enormous, you have many very good players in the top 300 or top 400."
