Toni Nadal on Sinner: "He's got the temperament".
Rafael Nadal's legendary coach and uncle, Toni Nadal, has never really left the world of tennis, and continues to give his opinion regularly.
In a column published by El Pais, for example, he reflects on Jannik Sinner's triumph at the US Open on Sunday.
Admiring the circumstances, 'Toni' praised the Italian's mental resilience: "The week before the start of the competition, we were wondering how the incessant controversy generated by his possible double doping might affect him.
After the final and his magnificent performance, the Italian showed once again that he not only has one of the best games on the circuit, but also the temperament to cope with really complicated situations.
The fact that he has a clear conscience certainly helped him cope."
