Tsitsipas Announces New Coach After Roland-Garros Defeat

Tsitsipas is having a tough year in terms of sporting results. After early exits in Australia, Madrid, and Rome, the Greek player added another disappointing performance to his 2025 season with a first-round loss to Gigante at Roland-Garros.
A finalist in the tournament back in 2021, the 26-year-old has now slipped out of the top 10 and dropped to 20th in the world rankings.
In response to this situation, Tsitsipas has decided to make a fresh start by announcing the addition of a new coach to his team: Goran Ivanisevic. The 53-year-old is a former champion, reaching a career-high world No. 2 and winning Wimbledon. He also coached Djokovic from 2019 to 2024.
The Greek player confirmed the long-standing rumor on his social media, stating: "I’m convinced this experience will help me grow even more, and I can’t wait to get started," he wrote on Instagram.
