Tsitsipas begins collaboration with Ivanisevic with a narrow victory

Since his second-round elimination at the French Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas has hired Goran Ivanisevic as his coach.

The Croatian, former coach of Novak Djokovic, has arrived with the goal of bringing Tsitsipas back into the top 10, as he is currently ranked 26th. After several days of training on grass, the Greek faced Luciano Darderi in the first round in Halle.

He came through in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 7-6), having managed to tighten his game in critical moments with 30 winners and 11 aces. In the next round, he will face Francisco Cerundolo or Alex Michelsen.
