The speed with which this match turned out is quite astonishing. Largely dominated by a very strong Arnaldi, the world number 9 resurfaced just when he was least expected.

Quickly trailing by a set to 0 (6-3), he fought off several two-sets-to-nothing balls to finally regain control of the match. Winning the tie-break in the second act, he showed himself to be increasingly offensive and efficient. Taking full measure of the Italian, he finally gave up just four games in the last two sets (3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 6-2 in 3h13).

A two-set winner, but the author of a rather complete match (63 winners, 35 unforced errors, 7 aces), 'Tsitsi' has qualified for the quarter-finals, where he could meet a certain Alcaraz.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
