Tsitsipas takes his revenge against Nishikori
He hadn't won on the ATP circuit since Cincinnati.
Now he has. Stefanos Tsitsipas dominated Kei Nishikori in less than 2 hours (7-6, 6-4) to reach the third round of the Shanghai Masters 1000.
Having been plunged into doubt for several weeks, this success could mean a great deal for Tsitsipas.
As a reminder, it was this same Nishikori who had plunged the world number 12 into crisis in August, by defeating him in the first round in Montreal (6-4, 6-4).
This time, the 26-year-old didn't fall into the trap. Aggressive from the baseline and with a powerful serve, he has reassured himself and will face Alexandre Muller in the third round.
