Vacherot continues his run in Paris by beating Norrie
How far will Valentin Vacherot go? After beating Jiri Lehecka and Arthur Rinderknech, the Monegasque player defeated Cameron Norrie this Thursday and qualified for the quarter-finals.
After clinching the first set tie-break, Vacherot managed to break the Brit's serve on his only break point, whereas, conversely, Norrie failed to convert any of his 5 break points.
Vacherot ultimately wins 7-6, 6-4 and will face Felix Auger-Aliassime or Daniel Altmaier in the next round.
Thanks to this victory, he is virtually world number 30 and could therefore hope to play his first main draw at the Australian Open with a seeded status.
