Vagnozzi, Sinner coach: "The hard surface is his natural surface".
Winner for the second year running in Melbourne, Jannik Sinner continues to establish his dominance on the men's circuit, particularly in hard-court tournaments.
Although he was a semi-finalist at Roland Garros and a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon last year, the world No.1 still has a few details to iron out before he is ready to win the two Grand Slams missing from his trophy cabinet, as his coach Simone Vagnozzi describes it:
"I think hard court is his natural surface. Clay is a little more difficult for him, but I think he can play very well at Roland Garros - he reached the semi-finals last year.
At Wimbledon, he was unlucky because he wasn't feeling 100% when he lost to Medvedev. We'll probably have to make a few small changes to win Wimbledon.
I think we have a chance of being ready to try and win both tournaments. We'll see."
