Vandeweghe on Djokovic: "He is not as strong mentally as before"
Novak Djokovic suffered a third consecutive loss against Botic van de Zandschulp at Indian Wells. This is only the second time since 2008 that this has happened to the Serbian.
Some criticize him for no longer being as hungry for victory and for being more mentally fragile.
Coco Vandeweghe, former world No. 9, shared her opinion on the matter on Tennis Channel: "You have to give credit to Botic, he deserves it.
But I think Novak is becoming too comfortable with losing.
It's a strange feeling for a player to experience a few defeats like these, to see him in the press room, and to wonder if he is not as strong mentally as before."
