Humbert after his defeat against Rune: "I can beat the best without being monstrous"
Ugo Humbert lost in three sets against Holger Rune in the third round of the Indian Wells Masters 1000.
This is his fourth defeat against the Dane in as many encounters. In comments relayed by L'Équipe, he spoke about his performance.

"I don't think I played a good match and, despite that, I was still close to winning.
So I need to become even more aware that I can beat the best without being monstrous. That should give me confidence.
In fact, it's extremely positive because I had always suffered quite heavy defeats against him, and this time I felt like I was bothering him.
But during the match, mentally, I was all over the place, telling myself I wasn't playing well, judging myself a lot, and not believing enough. It's a good lesson."
