The mixed doubles tournament delivered its verdict this Thursday, July 10, at Wimbledon, with the triumph of the pair consisting of Sem Verbeek and Katerina Siniakova.

The Dutchman and the Czech needed two tie-breaks (7-6, 7-6) to defeat Joe Salisbury and Luisa Stefani and secure their first Grand Slam title in mixed doubles.

At the US Open, the pair will not be able to reunite, as the organizers have changed the mixed doubles format to invite singles stars. Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, the Roland-Garros champions, will be the only specialists to participate.
