Video - After Her Wimbledon Title, Swiatek Picks Up the Racket Again in Montreal
Just under two weeks ago, Iga Swiatek claimed her first Wimbledon title by sweeping aside Amanda Anisimova in the final.
Following this unexpected triumph on the London grass, the Polish player is set to return to the tour at the WTA 1000 in Montreal, which begins on Sunday. She arrived on Canadian soil today to begin her first training session (see video below).
Absent from last year's tournament due to the Olympics, Swiatek will aim to improve on her 2023 semifinal finish. She will be the No. 2 seed in the event, with Aryna Sabalenka withdrawing due to fatigue.
