Injured in the adductors during the final of the Barcelona tournament on April 20, Alcaraz had to withdraw from the Madrid Masters 1000 scheduled the following week.

With just a few weeks left before Roland-Garros, this withdrawal worried many fans, casting doubt on his participation in Rome. Nevertheless, it seems the Spaniard has recovered well from his injury and is currently training at his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero's academy.

As the last Masters 1000 before the Paris Grand Slam, the El Palmar native is expected to announce his participation in the Italian tournament this weekend. Many are eagerly awaiting the decision of the world No. 3, just days before Sinner's official return to competitive play.
