Video - Fils Training in Toronto Ahead of His Return to Competition

Arthur Fils is officially back. The Frenchman, who hasn’t played a single match since his second-round exit at Roland-Garros against Jaume Munar, decided to skip the entire grass season after suffering a stress fracture in his back during his match against the Spaniard in Paris.
Withdrawing from his scheduled match against Rublev, he took the time to recover and return to peak form. The 21-year-old, currently ranked 21st in the world, has arrived in Canada to compete in the Toronto Masters 1000 and was seen training on one of the courts at the Canadian complex (see video below).
For his return to competition after a two-month absence, he will start in the second round against either Pablo Carreño Busta, the 2022 Canadian Open champion, or Liam Draxl.
