Video - Korda's sportsmanship, agreeing to replay a point against Monfils upon resumption of play

The schedule for Tuesday in Miami faced delays. As the men's singles round of 16 match between Gaël Monfils and Sebastian Korda neared its conclusion (4-3 with a break in favor of the American in the third and final set), rain interrupted play on the Florida courts, leading to a suspension of the match.
The match had already been paused a few games earlier for several minutes due to a lighting issue on the court, but this time, both players returned to the locker room, and play would not resume until 8:30 PM French time.
On the last point played by the two, Monfils attempted to slide on the court, but the increasingly heavy raindrops nearly caused him to slip twice.
After a shot from the Frenchman landed out on the first point of Korda’s service game, the 38-year-old complained about the playing conditions and asked chair umpire Mohamed Lahyani to halt the match.
Ultimately, play did not continue. But before heading back to the locker room, Korda agreed to replay the point that had just been contested.
Lahyani then announced the decision to the spectators still in the stands, and both players left the court under umbrellas. The match will not resume at 4-3, 15/0 in favor of the world No. 25 but rather at 4-3 (see video below).
