Video - Mektic and Venus already win one of the doubles points of the year

Faced with the surprising Djokovic/Kyrgios pair, Nikola Mektic and Michael Venus, seeded n°1 in Brisbane, came through in a super tie-break.

The match, which was closely contested right to the end, got underway in the second service game with an epic point.

Both solid at the net, Mektic and Venus resisted several lobs and tweeners from their opponents, and even got in each other's way on a smash (see video below).

The exchange lasted almost a minute and ended with a superb forehand passing shot from Michael Venus.

A feast for the eyes in what is sure to be one of the highlights of the 2025 doubles season!
