Video - Muchova pulls off one of the WTA coups of the season in Dubai

The semi-finals of the WTA 1000 Dubai tournament have reached their verdict. Mirra Andreeva, who defeated Elena Rybakina, and Clara Tauson, who beat Karolina Muchova, will battle it out for the title in the United Arab Emirates in a final that will crown a new player in this tournament category.
Tauson and Andreeva have both qualified for their first WTA 1000 final, and whoever wins will claim the biggest title of her career to date.
In the second semi-final, Tauson had to work hard against a tough Muchova, back to a very good level despite her recurrent physical problems in recent months.
Back in the top 15 after this tournament, the 28-year-old Czech is gradually regaining her form, as evidenced by the point she won in the middle of the third set.
When the Dane had a game point, Muchova, forced to go to the net by her opponent's drop shot, produced one of the shots of the season with a beautiful, winning tweener lob (see below).
Although Muchova didn't win the match, the point will surely go down as one of the finest of the 2025 season on the women's circuit.
