Video - Muller's unstoppable backhand volley against Comesaña in Rio

Alexandre Muller seems to be in the form of his career. After winning his first ATP title in Hong Kong at the start of the season, the 28-year-old Frenchman is set to contest his third final - and second since January - against Sebastian Baez at the ATP 500 tournament in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.
After beating João Fonseca, Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Francisco Cerundolo, the Frenchman dominated Francisco Comesaña, losing the first set of his Brazilian week (7-5, 6-7, 6-3 in 2h55), at the end of a lively match.
In the second set, Alexandre Muller won one of the most beautiful points of the match and of the tournament, after a good forehand attack.
Comesaña played back on his backhand, but Muller then produced a superb backhand volley that completely surprised his opponent, who ended up catching his feet in the net (see below).
In the end, more fear than harm for the Argentine, who was able to continue the match. Muller, for his part, will play for his place in the top 40 against Baez (he will be at least 41st in the world on Monday when the next ATP rankings are published).
