Video - Shang's Behind-the-Back Shot Electrifies Beijing

Juncheng Shang executed an impressive reflex shot during the ATP 500 in Beijing.
It was a move that thrilled the crowd at the Moon Court in Beijing. Facing Arthur Cazaux in the first round of the Beijing tournament, Shang (ranked 238th) stood out with an extremely rare play.
At 6-5, 15-30 in the third set, the Chinese player first returned a very powerful serve from his opponent, then barely reached a short ball. This was followed by a magnificent behind-the-back reflex shot that forced Cazaux to hit an easy volley, which Shang then finished with a strong cross-court passing shot.
However, despite the brilliance of this exchange, Shang ultimately lost to the world's 80th-ranked player. Although he had won the first set 6-0, the 20-year-old player exited the Chinese capital in the first round (0-6, 7-6, 7-5).
On his part, Arthur Cazaux had come through the qualifying rounds and will face Mensik for a spot in the quarterfinals.
