Video - Zheng Qinwen wins the election for the most beautiful point on the WTA Tour in 2024

Following the announcement of the winners of the WTA Awards, women's tennis fans were also able to vote for the most beautiful point of the season.

Four candidates were in the running and the verdict was in. Zheng Qinwen's beautiful exchange against Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the Wuhan Masters 1000 garnered over 43,000 votes and 68% of the vote (see video below).

The Chinese player beat Iga Swiatek's point against the same Sabalenka in the final of the Madrid Masters 1000 (16,000 votes, 24%).

On the third step of the podium, we find the long exchange of 31 shots between Beatriz Haddad Maia and Jasmine Paolini in Dubai, concluded by a winning shot from the Brazilian (3,445 votes, 5%).

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
