Wednesday marks the official launch of the Next Gen Masters. The world's top eight tennis players under the age of 21 gather in Saudi Arabia.

In a tournament with an original format (match in 3 sets of 4 games each) and atypical rules (no warm-up, no let, no corridor, decisive point at 40-40...), these young wolves intend to make their mark.

Following Luca Van Assche's win over Juncheng Shang, Alex Michelsen's victory over Nishesh Basavareddy and Learner Tien's victory over Jakub Mensik, Joao Fonseca and Arthur Fils now cross swords.

In a close duel (currently one set all), Arthur Fils won one of the first points of the match with an unorthodox volley (see video below).

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
