Alex Michelsen got his 2024 season off to a winning start. Semi-finalist at the Next Gen Masters in November, the American tamed a motivated Christopher O'Connell on home soil (6-4, 4-6, 7-6).

In a breathless match, the 20-year-old kept his nerve to win. With a number of exceptional points, including this stunning end-of-court passing shot (see video below), he moves on to the second round, where he will face Jordan Thompson.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Grenier and Hsu at the Kobe tournament? The match was played to completion and on time.
