Vukov on Rybakina's staff at the Australian Open?
A few weeks ago, Elena Rybakina confirmed the identity of her new coach, Goran Ivanisevic.
Novak Djokovic's former coach has already begun working with the Kazakh player and is currently in Australia for the United Cup, in which Kazakhstan is participating.
The Croatian already has a clear idea of how he would like to see Rybakina on court, explaining that he would like to see her more aggressive and go to the net even more regularly to close out points.
Ivanisevic replaced Stefano Vukov, who had been the world No. 6's coach since 2019. Their collaboration helped Rybakina win Wimbledon in 2022.
After the US Open last summer, during which Rybakina had to forfeit before her second round match, both parties preferred to end their association.
However, the collaboration between Vukov and the 25-year-old may not be completely over.
The 37-year-old Croatian coach is due to travel to Melbourne in the next few days to support his former protégé during the Australian Open.
Despite this, and should the news be confirmed, it will change nothing for Ivanisevic, who will remain her head coach.
