"We're getting married next year," De Minaur and Boulter continue their campaign to compete in the US Open doubles

After requesting a wildcard to compete in the US Open mixed doubles with his partner Katie Boulter, Alex de Minaur didn’t stop there. In an interview shared by journalist Ben Rothenberg, the Australian stated:
"Why not show some love to a tennis couple? We’re in great form. It’s been what, five years already? We’re getting married next year. I think we’ve shown there’s good chemistry between us.
You know, I think some doubles pairs have never even said a word to each other in their lives? At least we know each other a little. So we’re hoping to show good chemistry and play some great matches there too."
As a reminder, the US Open made a bold move by innovating the mixed doubles format. From August 19 to 20, during Fan Week, 16 teams made up of global tennis stars will compete for a $1 million prize for the winning pair.
